Esterillos is a small fisherman and surf community located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Surfing has been a highlight in town since the early 90’s when a group of Esterillos local kids started taking competitive surfing to a way higher level, exposing the local talent and perfect conditions for surfing.
The best explanation for this phenomenon is the variety of breaks throughout the coastline of Esterillos, where all type of waves can be found making this the best training environment where progression can happen in the same place for all levels of surfing.

From El Pico, a pumping barreling and powerful wave super fun for expert surfers
To "The Reef', a slow white-water wave ideal for longboards and smooth rides.
This little town can become the perfect spot for you to start your adventure in surfing or to improve your skills while enjoying warm waters and nice tropical weather.
